Hello,
I am looking to get some landscaping woodchips. I understand, through Seattle Utilities, you can get free woodchips by calling local tree service and have yourself put on a list. When they are in the neighborhood, they will drop off a load of chips. The caveat is that you have to take a full load - and you're on a waiting list.
Has anyone here ever done that? If so -how long did you have to wait. I have some work I want to do in my yard - and would love to get some wood chips. But if the waiting period is too long, I would end up buying them.
I appreciate hearing from anybody who had experience getting the free woodchips.
Also - what's a good local source to purchase bulk woodchips - or other landscaping materials, such as mulch or gravel.
Thanks in advance!
