TACOMA – Last Saturday night, Arts In Motion students had the honor of being invited to perform onstage with rock legend Roger Waters of Pink Floyd fame. The group of kids quickly came together as teammates and friends over this opportunity to sing and perform "Another Brick in the Wall" with Roger and his spectacular stage show.

The children sang the familiar "We don't need no education" chorus, drawing huge cheers from the crowd 19,000 strong as the children accused and challenged the monstrous 30' tall puppet of the wicked schoolmaster.

During the stage rehearsal, Roger was very generous with his time and attention to the Arts In Motion students, a rare opportunity, for rock stars of his stature seldom have a moment to stop and encourage young people in such a venue. Every student also took home an autographed photo of Roger and great memories to be treasured for years to come.

The core of the newly formed student choir will remain together and prepare for their next performance at AIM's 2nd Annual "Freedom Festival" Jan. 22, 2011.

"When I went out on that stage in front of all those people, it felt like my feet weren't even touching the floor." — Kenya Blackwell
