Did you know Genesee Park was once a garbage dump? Learn more about this and other interesting historical facts on a walk led by the Rainier Valley Historical Society.

Wednesday October 31 10:30am - 12:30pm. Join Sound Steps and Eleanor Boba of the Rainier Valley Historical Society for a free walking tour of the Link to Lake Trail, highlighting the history of the area around Rainier Community Center and Genesee Park.

Sound Steps has developed a walking route in SE Seattle from the Columbia City Light Rail Station to Lake Washington. The historical walk will follow this "Link to Lake Trail" while we learn more about the area around Rainier Community Center and Genesee Park.
