At the library

  • Storytime will be Friday, February 29 at 10:30am. Storytime will be on a break through March while Nancy conducts Global Reading Challenges with 4th and 5th graders at 4 local schools. Storytime returns Friday, April 4.
  • Play & Learn for children from birth to age 5 (facilitated by Neighborhood House staff) will start again on Friday, February 29. Their next break will be during Seattle Public Schools spring break, April 4.
  • Mark your calendars for the First Thursday Family Night for kids from birth through age 12. Stories, crafts and literacy related activities. We are also expecting to do origami. Join us Thursday, March 6 from 6:30-7:30pm. Fun guaranteed!
  • We have puzzles behind the reference desk. Please ask to us them — wooden puzzles, cardboard puzzles in frames and cardboard puzzles in boxes.

Columbia City Community Council Meeting

The next meeting is Monday, March 3rd, at 6pm at the Columbia City Public Library. The entire meeting will be devoted to reading, discussing, and ratifying the group's draft bylaws. All Columbia City residents are heartily encouraged to show up to this important meeting.

CURVES Open House with Swedish Hospital Breast Mobile

Sat March 8th, join the fun at Curves on Rainier for their open house & free health fair, with the Swedish Breast Mobile, 9:30am-3:30pm. Participate in health screenings, including mammogram and pap, enter to win prizes, & gain helpful information.
