Columbia City Farmers Market

This week brings us more squash and squash blossoms (delicious chopped and sauted in an omelet, or dipped in corn meal batter and fried), plus increating numbers of sweet peaches, nectarines and other summer fruits. Also look for fresh salmon! Music this week from a group of local talented violin students.

Sounds of Vietnam on Sunday August 3rd from 2 – 3 pm. Canadian duo Khac Chi combines the traditional folk music of Vietnam with lively new arrangements, light-hearted humor and creative stage antics for a show that is sure to delight young and old alike! For ages 4 and up.

Evening Book Group on Wednesday August 6th from 6:45-7:45 pm. Join us for a book group discussion. Everyone is welcome. This month’s title is "In the Company of the Courtesan" by Sarah Dunant. Pick up your copy at the Information Desk.

A type of scavenger hunt for GPS enthusiasts

Are you up for an artful challenge? Use clues to track down Seattle's public art, capture longitude and latitude for the artwork, and create a stellar Waymark for a chance to win a limited-edition trackable Bounty Geocoin. Plus, it's just really a fun thing to do with your GPS.
