Bird Banding Demo on Saturday 3/28It's time once again for Seattle Audubon's BirdWatch Service Corps to host their monthly bird banding demonstration in Seward Park. Don't miss this chance to see science in action as BirdWatch student naturalists assist Puget Sound Bird Observatory volunteers in capturing and banding live birds. The demonstration is free and open to the public. It will run from 9am-12pm at the Audubon Center in Seward Park (5902 Lake Washington Blvd S., Seattle WA, 98118). Senator Adam Kline Town Hall March 28Senator Adam Kline (37th LD) will host a Town Hall meeting from 3-5 PM this Saturday, March 28, at the Columbia City Library meeting room. While the focus will be on the budget (Senate budget may be released by March 27), Senator Kline will listen to citizens' concerns and answer questions. Senator Kline particularly wants to hear about how budget cuts will affect people. Show up a little early — the meeting room only holds 130. The 37th Legislative District covers Columbia City, Mt Baker, Hillman City and most of SE Seattle, Skyway and part of Renton. |
