Senator Adam Kline Town Hall March 28

Senator Adam Kline (37th LD) will host a Town Hall meeting from 3-5 PM this Saturday, March 28, at the Columbia City Library meeting room.

While the focus will be on the budget (Senate budget may be released by March 27), Senator Kline will listen to citizens' concerns and answer questions. Senator Kline particularly wants to hear about how budget cuts will affect people.

Show up a little early — the meeting room only holds 130.

The 37th Legislative District covers Columbia City, Mt Baker, Hillman City and most of SE Seattle, Skyway and part of Renton.

Columbia City in the news

Yolinda Ward and her partner Lynn moved into a 620-square-foot cottage behind their Columbia City house last summer, and Ward's godson took over the house with his wife and baby.

"My partner and I always liked small spaces," Ward said. "The house always felt way too big for us."

Every Sunday, Ward goes over to the "big house" and makes popovers for everyone, and every Wednesday is family night, she said. "It's the best."

Columbia City in the blogossiphere

Amber at the Rainier Valley Post says she doesn't want direct links from the Wikli's blogossiphere over her concern that gossip just isn't her brand. We still encourage you to check out her blog.
