On June 5, 2009, the the new children's musical It's a Whatchamadoozie with a Whaddayacallit with a Thingamajigit on Top! will be coming to the Rainier Valley.

The musical is set in Tremble Town where everyone is paralyzed by fear. When a suspicious glow is spotted in the sky and and ominous musical note permeates the air, the Mayor orders all of the children inside for the summer. It takes Lucy Margaret and her plucky pals Cecil and Gracie who save the day by transforming fear into wonder and fiction into fact!

  • when: June 5-21, Fridays at 7pm & Saturday/Sundays at 2pm
  • where: Rainier Valley Cultural Center (3515 S Alaska)
  • how much: $6/kids $12/adults, pay-what-you-can performance on Sunday June 7 at 2pm
    Tickets are available through brownpapertickets.com

The Anything is Possible Theatre is dedicated to bringing dynamic, professional and affordable children's theatre to the south end of Seattle.

Gather

Well, the day has come and Gather has re-opened its doors to reveal the beautiful, cool and hip place that it now is! You really should come take a look. It's gorgeous inside, feels inviting and there are lots of treasures to come look through.

There are racks of clothes, some furniture, shoes, handbags, and very fun jewelry made from antique chandelier parts.

Congratulations, Megan and Dan — you've created a wonderful new shop for the neighborhood!
