celebration with Valley & MountainValley & Mountain is a spiritual community/church based in Columbia City with a mission to build a radically hospitable community, rooted in grace, that practices deep listening and creative liberation. We celebrate the diversity of age, race, gender, sexual orientation, primary language, and spiritual identity in our community and our neighborhood and strive to create an inclusive environment. Celebrations are one manifestation of what this community is, and involve a mix of meditation, yoga, art, poetry, music, making sandwiches for the food bank, a reflection, and a shared meal. Sunday, September 18, 4-5:30pm, at the Cultural Corner in the old Columbia School, 3651 S Edmunds St (new location).

See an iconic Seattle song-writer ...… like you've never seen him before! With one last hurrah of Seattle summer behind us, fall doesn't seem so bad, especially when we've got so many great things to keep us cozy and indoors. We're especially excited this week to dance with Viper Creek Club and to welcome back special guest Jacket Summer to our stage. While we've hosted this iconic local singer-songwriter before under his real name, we promise Friday is going to be a performance like you've never seen him before and you don't want to miss it.

Seward Park photographsIf you like Seward Park and like photography, I invite you to participate in this flickr group dedicated to Seward Park. It's such a beautiful place: since we can't be there as often or as long as we would each like to be, perhaps this group can help extend the experience.
